Charlotte Planchou, born in 1990 in Homburg, France, is a French jazz vocalist, guitarist, and composer who began her musical journey in Saarland before moving to Paris at age five. After studying operatic singing at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne, she shifted to jazz, performing street music and interpreting classics by Edith Piaf and Serge Gainsbourg. Her debut album, Petite, was released in 2021, featuring original compositions, and in 2023, a concert with Stéphane Belmondo and pianist Ismaël Margain aired on Radio France. In 2024, she released Le Carillon as a duo with pianist Mark Prioré, covering works by Kurt Weill, Benjamin Britten, and Carole King, and was honored that year as “Singer of the Year” by Jazz Magazine and received the Prix Évidence from the Académie du Jazz.
