Daniel Binelli, born on May 20, 1946, in Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an Argentine bandoneon player, composer, and music director. He began his career as a member and arranger of Osvaldo Pugliese's orchestra for 14 years, and later joined Astor Piazzolla's New Tango Sextet. He served as the musical director of groups including Tango7 and Tango Metrópolis. In 1998, he premiered Astor Piazzolla's Concierto de Lieja for bandoneon and guitar in Tokyo alongside pianist Martha Argerich and guitarist Eduardo Isaac. His recordings include over 50 albums, such as Piazzolla Hoy (1993), Tangazo (2001) with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Imágenes (2002) with pianist Polly Ferman, and Orquestango (2003) with Ferman and the Orquesta Filarmónica de Uruguay. In 1995, he received the Premio Konex - Diploma al Mérito as one of the most important tango instrumentalists of the decade.
