Quartette is a Canadian country-folk group formed in 1993 by Sylvia Tyson, Caitlin Hanford, Cindy Church, and Colleen Peterson. Their debut album Quartette in 1994 brought recognition, including the Canadian Country Music Association award for best vocal collaboration that year. The band was nominated for a Juno Award for Best Country Group in both 1995 and 1996. However, Peterson left due to health issues and passed away later in 1996, being replaced by Gwen Swick. Their subsequent albums were Work of the Heart (1995), "O Canada" as their first single from the album, It's Christmas (1996) and In the Beauty of the Day (1998). Simultaneously, all members also had solo careers touring extensively throughout Canada. Over the following decades, Quartette continued performing and recording, releasing albums such as I See a Star (2002), Down at the Fair (2007), Rocks and Roses (2013), and 20 Years of Quartette (2013).
