*Shels is a British-American rock group formed in 2003 by Mehdi Safa and Tom Harriman. After Mahumodo's break-up, they named their new project Shels. The band released their EP, Wingsfortheirsmiles, on Shelsmusic in 2004. Their first full-length album, Sea of the Dying Dhow, was released in 2007 via Undergroove Records and received positive reviews, including being named one of Rock Sound magazine's top albums of 2007. The band toured the UK in support of the album, performing at GuilFest alongside My Vitriol and Zico Chain. *Shels released their second full-length album, Plains of the Purple Buffalo, in 2011.
