Wynardtage is a German aggrotech music project founded in 2002 by the producer and DJ Kayfabe. The project's early success came with the track “Sterbehilfe” (2004), which appeared on the Lost-in-Darkness Vol. II compilation and led to the debut studio album, Waste of Time (2005). Their second album, Evil Mind (2006), reached number 5 on the Deutsche Alternative Charts. The project subsequently expanded into a full band with the addition of Mel Gúntzelsson, Gubo, and MfX. Their collaborative releases include the EPs Wynardtage Meets Acylum – Lords of Darkness (2006) and The Face in the Mirror with May-Fly (2007). Their subsequent albums include Praise the Fallen (2007), The Grey Line (2008) — which peaked at number 2 on the Deutsche Alternative Charts — and A Flicker of Hope (2010). Following a brief inactivity, the band returned in 2012 to release the album Sleepless in Heaven, which held the Number 1 position on the German alternative charts for seven weeks. They followed with the EP Close II Death on November 15, 2013, which also peaked at Number 1 on the charts.
