Celelalte Cuvinte, a Romanian rock band, was formed in December 1981 by Călin Pop, Marcel Breazu, and Leontin Iovan while studying at Politehnica University of Timișoara. The band initially performed under the name Sonic and gained local popularity with their first concert on December 13, 1981. Their breakthrough came when they were signed to Electrecord label, releasing four songs on the compilation Formații Rock 8 in 1985. After moving back to Oradea post-graduation, Celelalte Cuvinte released their debut LP Celelalte Cuvinte I in 1987 and followed it withII in 1990. The band transitioned from progressive rock to a heavier metal sound by the mid-1990s, culminating in the album Armaghedon in 1994. In the early 2000s, they returned to their progressive roots with an alternative rock influence, releasing albums like Nos in 2004 and Stem in 2008. Celelalte Cuvinte celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2021.
