Isaurian is a project that emerged from the desire to make heavy, intense and emotionally complex art from musicians with more than 20 years of experience.
The first step was All the Darkness Looks Alive, an EP that Rhys Fülber (Fear Factory, Paradise Lost, Youth Code) remotely produced and mixed and also had a remix by Justin K. Broadrick (Jesu, Godflesh) for the song 'Hologram'.
The result began to show the band's doom/shoegaze characteristics, with sounds full of atmospheric melodies, low tuned riffs and moments that alternate softness and intensity.
Still in 2017, the band started production on another EP. Produced and mixed by Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Caspian, Isis), Dead Flower of Youth was released in June 2018 and has a more organic, clean and atmospheric sound, with touches of post-rock, defining the band's identity more clearly.
In 2019, with the arrival of Hoanna Aragão to vocals and Roberto Tavares on the drums, the band wrote and recorded their first full-length, Chains of Blue, with renowned american producer Kevin Ratterman, known for records with Emma Ruth Rundle, Ray LaMontagne, among others. The band released the album digitally and on CD in July 2020.
During the pandemic and shortly after the release of the album, the band underwent new lineup changes. Renata Marim took over the bass and the band was left without a keyboard player, becoming a quintet. In 2021, the band introduced the new lineup with a live recording released on YouTube, Live at Orbis.
