Big Ass Truck, an American rock band from Memphis, Tennessee. The group incorporated elements of hip-hop, rock, funk, and psychedelia into their music, with a DJ providing beats, loops, and samples during recordings and live performances. They released the Sack Lunch EP in 1995. In the following years, they released several albums including Kent (1996), Who Let You in Here? (1998), and The Rug (2001). The band toured extensively, notably with 311 throughout the American South. They also appeared on MTV's Oddville and 120 Minutes. The group disbanded after the release of The Rug, but reunited for live shows in 2014 and 2016. Members pursued various solo projects and collaborations, including Robby Grant's work with John Medeski and Steve Selvidge's involvement with The Hold Steady.
