Jared Faber, also known professionally by his stage name J-Radical, is an American musician, composer, and producer who was raised in New York City and resides in Los Angeles, California. After studying jazz arranging and composition at the Berklee College of Music, Faber began his career in 1996, earning his first professional credits as the composer for the video games The Pink Panther: Passport to Peril and The Pink Panther: Hokus Pokus Pink. Over his career, he won multiple Grammy Awards and was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2006 for outstanding music composition. He composed the score and theme songs for several television programs, including Oobi, As Told by Ginger, Clifford's Puppy Days, Emily's Reasons Why Not, and Suburgatory, for which he co-wrote the theme song “Pleasant Nightmare”. Faber also composed music for films including The Legend of Frosty the Snowman in 2005, and The Long Shots and Teen Titans Go! To the Movies in 2018. As one half of the production duo Urban Legend alongside partner Kool Kojak, he co-produced the albums Tropical Techniques and Tranquilidad Cubana.
