Ted Hughes, known professionally as Kan Kick, is an American record producer from Oxnard, Los Angeles. He grew up alongside several notable hip-hop musicians, including Madlib and Oh No. In the early 1990s, Kan Kick became an integral part of Lootpack, appearing on several of their tracks. His first official solo release, From Artz Unknown, was released in 2001 and featured West Coast rappers such as Declaime and Planet Asia. Throughout his career, he produced a number of solo instrumental albums, including Acid Massive Musical (2004), The Traditional Heritage (2004), and Seeing Spirits (2005). Kan Kick also collaborated with various artists such as Krondon and DJ Babu. Notable singles include "Government" (2003) and "A.F.R.O. (Air Freely Rare Origins)" (2005).
