Lida Husik, born in 1963 in Washington D.C., is an American musician. She began playing violin in third grade and later taught herself drums, joining the punk band the Mourning Glories. Her breakthrough came when Don Fleming introduced her to producer Kramer, leading to the release of her debut album Bozo under Shimmy Disc in 1991, followed by albums such as The Return of Red Emma (1992) and Your Bag (1992). In 1994, she collaborated with British producer Beaumont Hannant on Evening at the Grange. She later signed with Caroline Records/Astralwerks, releasing records such as Green Blue Fire (1996) and Fly Stereophonic (1997). Husik moved to Los Angeles and recorded three albums for Alias Records. After a hiatus, she released an album titled Motheroceanmorning in 2018 under her own label, Husik Musik.
