Face Candy was an American improvisational jazz rap group formed in 2005 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The group initially consisted of rapper Eyedea, drummer J.T. Bates, bassist Casey O'Brien, and local rappers Kristoff Krane, Carnage, and Mazta I. Known as Eyedea & Friends, the group began performing extended freestyles with improvised instrumental backing at local hip-hop venues. After a negative reception from fans expecting traditional rap performances, the group took a hiatus before reviving under the new name Face Candy. The group released their debut album, This is Where We Were, in 2006, recorded live during a Midwest tour. Following Eyedea's sudden death in 2010, the group released their second and final album Waste Age Teen Land in 2011. This album was recorded at Winterland Studios and Black Dog Cafe in Saint Paul.
