Harry Breuer, born October 24, 1901 in Brooklyn, New York, was an American composer. He started playing the violin in high school but switched to the xylophone, becoming a notable soloist. Breuer gained prominence through appearances on Cliquot Club Eskimos and as part of the Radio City Music Hall orchestra. In 1943, he made his television debut performing "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Rimsky-Korsakov. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Breuer released albums including Mallet Magic (1957) and Percussive Vaudeville (1960), and collaborated with Jean-Jacques Perrey on The Happy Moog (1969). He also composed music for silent films, television shows, and commercials. Breuer passed away on June 27, 1989, in New York City.
