The Prosecution, uma banda alemã de Skacore de Abensberg, Baviera, foi formada em 2002 por Simon Bernhardt, Johannes Damjantschitsch, Lukas Schätzl, Thomas Limmer e Lukas Preiß. Começaram por tocar covers, mas rapidamente passaram a tocar material original influenciado por bandas de skate punk. A sua primeira demo foi gravada em 2003, e com adições importantes, desenvolveram o seu som caraterístico. A banda lançou o seu primeiro EP Law & Order em 2005 e seguiu-o com Move On em 2007. O seu primeiro álbum, Droll Stories, foi lançado em 2010 pela Fatsound Records. Em 2013, eles lançaram At The Edge Of The End. Seu álbum Words With Destiny foi lançado em 2015 e incluiu uma participação de Chris #2 do Anti-Flag. O álbum The Unfollowing alcançou o número 2 nas paradas alternativas alemãs em 2017. A banda anunciou um hiato indefinido em novembro de 2018 para se concentrar na vida pessoal fora da música.
