The Philistines Jr. is an American rock band from Connecticut, formed in 1990 by brothers Peter Katis and Tarquin Katis with drummer Adam Pierce. Their music combines guitar, bass, and drums with keyboard instruments, including electric organ and toy piano. The band debuted with the EP Greenwich, CT (1991), followed by The Continuing Struggle of the Philistines Jr. (1993) and the album The Sinking of the S.S. Danehower (1995). After releasing Analog Vs. Digital (2001), they returned with If a Band Plays in the Woods...? (2010), accompanied by a cover and remix album featuring artists such as The National and Mercury Rev. They later toured with Gang of Youths, contributed to the Frightened Rabbit tribute album Tiny Changes, and released their fourth studio album, Help!, in 2019.
