The Moodists were an Australian post-punk band formed in late 1980 in Melbourne by Dave Graney, Clare Moore, and Steve Miller of the punk group the Sputniks. They added Chris Walsh on bass in early 1981 and Mick Turner on guitar in April 1983. Their debut single, "Where the Trees Walk Downhill", was released in October 1981, followed by the EP Engine Shudder in January 1983. In April 1984, they released their sole studio album, Thirsty's Calling. Turner left in January 1985, and the band disbanded in 1987. Notable releases include the EP Double Life (1985) and the single "Justice and Money Too" the same year. In 2003, a compilation double CD, Two Fisted Art, was released, featuring studio recordings and live material.
