Scattered Order, an Australian post-punk band, was formed in Sydney in 1979 by Mitchell Law Ross-Jones (a.k.a. Mitch Jones), Michael Tee, and Simon Vidale. Their first recording, "Bent Up", appeared on Growing Pains in 1980. The debut EP, Screaming Tree, was released in 1981, followed by their first full-length album, Prat Culture, in 1982. The band's lineup changed frequently, with notable members including Drusilla Johnson on synthesiser and vocals. Scattered Order released several EPs and albums, including Career of the Silly Thing in 1985 and Comfort in 1988. They toured extensively, supporting acts like the Residents and Severed Heads. The band went on hiatus from 2000 to 2011, reforming with original members Jones and Tee, along with Shane Fahey.
