Hannah Featherstone is a Franco-British artist creating moving modern compositions that straddle the worlds of jazz and electronica.
Weaving a beautiful combination of contemplative, introspective, songwriting and heartfelt lyricism, she conjures up elegant vocal-led pieces infused with electronica production aesthetics. Bearing passing resemblance to the confessional and introspective nature of Joni Mitchell, or the tasteful arrangements of Melody Gardot, her work is very much uniquely her own, and is realised through the lens of a forward-thinking, self-producing, Ableton user.
Capturing the attention of Asta Hiroki she is releasing her forthcoming 2026 album ‘The Space Between’ through his Most Least label.
On ‘The Space Between’ Featherstone showcases a masterfully intimate and cohesive record with an overarching concept of “capturing individual snapshots of time and space, stories perhaps mid-process rather than at the ultimate end-point to be reached”. These fleeting moments and feelings have been diarised in musical form expertly to resonate with listeners, striking a balance between cerebrally stimulating material, passionate vocal delivery, and memorable songcraft.
