The Reivers are an American pop band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 1984 as Zeitgeist, they changed their name to The Reivers before releasing their second album Translate Slowly in 1985 due to a naming conflict. The band consisted of John Croslin on vocals and guitars, Kim Longacre on vocals and guitars, Cindy Toth on bass and violin, and Garrett Williams on drums. Their debut album under the new name was Saturday, released in 1987. The Reivers gained critical acclaim for their subsequent albums, including End Of The Day (1989) and Pop Beloved (1991), but achieved limited commercial success. In 2013, they released an album titled Second Story. Notable singles include "In Your Eyes / Jeanie", released in 1987. The band announced that they were on indefinite hiatus in July 2017.
