Sludgeworth, an American punk rock band from Chicago, was formed in 1989 by Dan Schafer and Brian Vermin as a side project while they were members of Screeching Weasel. The band's early work included their self-titled EP released in 1990 and the album What’s This? in 1991. In 1992, Schafer returned to Screeching Weasel due to musical differences, leading to Sludgeworth's dissolution, and their final concert took place in early 1993. The band reunited briefly in 2007 for the Riot Fest and again in 2008 for the Insubordination Fest, with the latter performance recorded and released as Insubordination Fest ’08: Live from Baltimore. Their compilation album, Losers of the Year, originally released in 1995, was rereleased in 2022 under Red Scare Records.
