Smorgas was a Japanese music group formed in 1997 that blended hip-hop and rock. The group released their debut album Smorgas in 1999, followed that same year by In Junction, and released Questionary in 2000. Subsequent releases included Gondwana no Tabi (2001), INTERACTIVA (2001), Ogon no Michi (2002), and ELECTROCK (2003), culminating in the compilation album Smorgas chosen from '99-'06 in 2006. In 2008 the lineup consisted of leader and vocalist Aini, vocalist Kato Raimon, drummer Chieko Ikeda, guitarist Coita, and bassist Kensaku Andô, before the group disbanded following Kato Raimon's arrest for illicit substance possession.
