Coffee House Anarchists might just change your mind. CHA is made up of brothers Alex and Justin who’ve played together ever since rock and roll first burst into their lives. The line up was completed by a French bass player Williams who also liked the idea of leaving real employment. They later decamped to the South of France from the UK with little more than ambition and guitars in hand.
From their humble beginnings as an indie guitar band, CHA have evolved into something far greater—a constantly shifting, boundary-pushing sound that has moved through electro-pop, post-punk, and traditional folk, all while staying true to their unmistakable identity. As independent musicians, CHA have built everything from the ground up—no labels, no industry gatekeepers, just pure creative freedom. Seven studio albums and five singles later, they continue to defy expectations, refusing to be boxed in by genre or convention.
