Inferum, a Dutch death metal band from Eindhoven, was formed in 2015 by vocalist Morrison de Boer and lead guitarist Lars Deelman. Both members studied at the Metal Factory in Eindhoven. In 2017, Inferum released their debut EP Modern Massacre and represented the Netherlands in the W:O:A Metal Battle, securing third prize—the highest ranking for the country in the competition's history. The band also performed at notable Dutch festivals such as Baroeg Open Air, Occultfest, and Stonehenge Festival. In 2019, Inferum released their first full-length album Human Disposal. Notable singles include "Autophagia" featuring guest vocals from CJ McMahon of Thy Art Is Murder (2018) and "Beyond Reach" (2019).
