Buenos Muchachos is an Uruguayan alternative rock ensemble from Montevideo established in 1991. The group consists of the musicians Pedro Dalton, Marcelo Fernández, José Nozar, Ignacio Echeverría, and Francisco "Pancho" Coelho. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by alternative rock influenced by the ensembles Pixies and Sonic Youth. The ensemble was founded by the musician Gustavo Antuña and the musician Dalton. Their recording career began with the independent cassette recording Nunca fui yo (1996). Buenos Muchachos achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Aire rico (1999) and the studio recording Dendritas contra el bicho feo (2001). Their musical career included having songs featured in the movie 25 watts (2001) and the movie La perrera (2006). Buenos Muchachos achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Amanecer búho (2004) released on the label Bizarro Records. The recording featured the song “He Never Wants to See You (Once Again)”. Their discography included the studio recording Se pule la colmena (2011). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing as the opening act for the ensemble Pixies at the Teatro de Verano in 2010. Their recording career included the studio recording Nidal (2015) and the eponymous studio recording #8 (2017). Buenos Muchachos achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Vendrás a verte morir (2020).
