Dobri Isak was a Yugoslav post-punk and darkwave band and group formed in Niš in late 1983. Founded by Predrag Cvetičanin, the group initially dissolved after recording a demo but reformed with bassist Miloš Miladinović, drummer Saša Marković, and Cvetičanin’s brother, Nenad Cvetičanin. In 1984, the band released its only studio album, Mi plačemo iza tamnih naočara, through the Niš Students' Cultural Center. The group gained recognition after winning the Best Performance Award at the 1985 Serbian Youth Festival and performing at the YU Rock Moment festival in Zagreb in 1986. Following its final concert at the Niš Synagogue on 24 May 1986, the band disbanded. Despite a brief career, the album was reissued by PMK Records in December 2009 with seven bonus tracks. This release brought renewed critical acclaim across former Yugoslav republics. The band’s work was later commemorated in a 2012 documentary and a 2016 tribute album.
