Jack Starr’s Burning Starr, an American heavy metal band from New York City, was formed in 1984 by former Virgin Steele guitarist Jack Starr. The band's initial breakthrough came with their debut album Rock the American Way released in 1985. They followed up with No Turning Back (1986) and Blaze of Glory (1987). After releasing a self-titled album, Jack Starr’s Burning Starr, in 1989, the band disbanded. Jack Starr went on to work with other short-lived formations. The band was resurrected by Starr in 2008 and signed with Magic Circle Music, performing at the Magic Circle Festival in 2008 and 2009. They also played at the Keep It True festival in 2013 and recorded a DVD. Subsequent albums include Defiance (2009), Land of The Dead (2011), Stand Your Ground (2017), and Souls of the Innocent (2022).
