Mischa van der Heiden, known professionally as DJ Misjah, was born on September 1, 1971, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and established himself as a DJ and producer in the electronic music scene. He first entered the industry in 1991 under the alias Dyewitness, releasing the EPs Observing The Earth (1992) and What Would You Like To Hear Again? (1993). From 1995 to 1999, DJ Misjah ran Midtown Records' sublabel X‑Trax, signing artists such as Ferry Corsten, Umek, and Rank 1. In 2001, he founded the label ReRun and the DJ agency ReRun Bookings. Throughout his career, DJ Misjah has released music on labels including Craft Music, Wetmusik, and Zync, which were played by DJs such as Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, and Carl Cox. He has also performed worldwide at major festivals, including Dance Valley, Roskilde, Mayday, and Nature One.
