Louis Ramon Sharpe, born August 25, 1966 in New York City, United States, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who performs under the stage name K7. Inspired early by Afrika Bambaataa and the Cold Crush Brothers, he first emerged in the mid-1980s as a member of the Latin hip-hop trio TKA until 1992. He embarked on a solo career and released his debut album, Swing Batta Swing (1993), which blended rap, dancehall, and dance tracks. The single "Come Baby Come" became an international hit, reaching number 3 on the UK Singles Chart, number 18 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and the top 30 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Subsequent singles "Zunga Zeng" and "Move It Like This" entered the US charts, though no further major hits followed, leading to a reputation in German-speaking territories as a one-hit wonder. He returned to TKA in 2001 to record the album Forever, re-launched solo work with Love, Sex, Money (2002), and later released The King's Agenda (2009).
