Three Mile Pilot is an American indie rock band from San Diego, California, formed in 1991 by Armistead Burwell Smith IV on bass and vocals, Pall Jenkins on vocals and guitar, and Tom Zinser on drums. They released the debut album Nà Vuccà Dò Lupù (1992), followed by The Chief Assassin to the Sinister (1994). Geffen Records took an interest in the band, re-issuing The Chief Assassin to the Sinister with three new tracks and setting them up at Seattle's Bear Creek Studios to produce a new album with Steve Fisk. Internal strife led to their departure from Geffen, but they released Another Desert, Another Sea (1997). The band reunited in 2006, partnering with Temporary Residence Limited and releasing The Inevitable Past Is the Future Forgotten (2010). Their discography also includes the compilation album Songs From an Old Town We Once Knew (2000) and the EP Maps (2012).
