Sunshine Jocelyn Sian Anderson, born June 7, 1974, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States, is an American contemporary R&B and soul singer. Managed by Macy Gray during her early career, Anderson released her debut single “Heard It All Before” on February 27, 2001, which reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. She released her debut studio album Your Woman on April 17, 2001, which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200, reached number 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and received a Gold certification from the RIAA. The album also produced the single “Lunch or Dinner”. Anderson released her second studio album Sunshine at Midnight on January 23, 2007, supported by the singles “Something I Wanna Give You”, “Force of Nature”, and “Wear the Crown”. Anderson released her third studio album The Sun Shines Again on November 2, 2010, preceded by the single “Lie to Kick It” in September 2010.
