TEXT is a Swedish experimental band, was ifounded in 2000 by Kristofer Steen, David Sandström, Fredrik Bäckström, and Jon F Brännström, all previously associated with the hardcore group Refused. The group’s debut album, Text, was released in 2000 and combined spoken word, ambient sound effects, and diverse musical styles, establishing an avant‑garde sound that differed markedly from Refused’s output. In 2008, the duo of Fredrik Bäckström and Jon F Brännström released the EP Vital Signs.
