Asva

Asva is an American drone metal project from Seattle that became active in 2003. Bassist and organist G. Stuart Dahlquist has remained the sole constant member. Asva's name is derived from the Sanskrit word aśva, meaning workhorse. After a split release with Burning Witch in 2004, Asva released two albums in 2005: Futurists Against The Ocean and Asva. The band's lineup has seen numerous changes over the years, with notable members including Toby Driver on vocals and guitar, Greg Gilmore on drums, and Jessika Kenney on vocals. Asva continued to release albums such as What You Don't Know is Frontier (2008), Presences Of Absences (2011), and Empires Should Burn... (2012).
