Zabrinski, a UK musical group from Wales, formed in the late 1990s in Carmarthen and Cardiff. The band consisted of Matthew Durbridge on vocals and guitar, Iwan Morgan on electronica/keyboards, Gareth Richardson on guitar, Rhun Lenny on bass, and Owain Jones on drums. Their debut album, Screen Memories, was released independently on their own Microgram label, leading to a deal with Ankst. In March 2001, Zabrinski's Ankst debut album, Yeti, was released. That same month, they separately released the single "Freedom of the Hiway" on the Booby Trap label. The band supported Gorky's Zygotic Mynci and Super Furry Animals on their UK tours and were nominated for three Welsh Music Awards in 2001. Their third album, Koala Ko-ordination (2002), featured Kris Jenkins on keyboards. In 2005, they released their final album, Ill Gotten Game, before disbanding in 2007. The band's final performance was at the Gwyl Macs Fest in Carmarthen on September 1, 2007.
