Enrique Quezadas, born on July 15, 1955, is a Mexican novelist, singer, pianist, and composer who studied at the National Conservatory of Music and the Superior School of Music. He has been a member of groups including OnTa, Música y Contracultura (MCC), and Dueto Trilce. His songs have been recorded by artists such as Mexicanto, Fernando Delgadillo, Betsy Pecanins, Ximena Sariñana, Demian Bichir, and Eugenia León. He also arranged and produced Demian Bichir's album Fábulas trágicas. In addition to his work as a performer, he has composed music for film, television, theater, radio, and symphonic works. His film credits include Cilantro y Perejil (1996), Todo el poder (1999), La segunda noche (2000), Atlético San Pancho (2001), Amarte duele (2002), and Los fabulosos siete (2007). His discography includes Dentro de mí (1998), Sin mí (2003), Fuego y Tambor (2007), Música para cine (2019), and Fábrica de Paz (2020). His work has earned two Ariel Awards for Cilantro y Perejil, a Coral Award for Hasta Morir, and Silver Goddess Awards for Cilantro y Perejil (1997) and Amarte duele (2003). His later works include symphonic compositions, stage productions, and the opera-theater Juan y Adelita, which premiered in 2025.
