Kristian Nyquist, born in 1964 in Los Angeles, is an American harpsichordist and pianist. He studied under Christine Daxelhofer at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe and furthered his education with Huguette Dreyfus in Paris. Nyquist also attended courses led by Colin Tilney, Bob van Asperen, and Gustav Leonhardt. Nyquist is also known for his work as a specialist in Hammerklavier, collaborating with the Endymion-Trio. He has recorded for labels such as Pavane, Telos, Koch-Schwann, and Etoile Productions. Additionally, he has served as a lecturer at the Musikhochschulen Mannheim and Karlsruhe.
