Capitaine Révolte is a Canadian punk-folk group from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, formed in October 1998 by Marie-Claude Joly Bergeron and Frédéric Gagné. The group initially gained recognition after winning the Cégep Rock contest in 2000. Their debut studio album, Un jour les taureaux nous mangeront…, was released in 2000 under the Kerozen and Outside labels. They toured across Quebec, Western Canada, France, and Belgium in the early 2000s. They released their second studio album, Danse sociale, in 2003, which features their cover of La Compagnie Créole's song “Ça fait rire les oiseaux”. The group split up in the autumn of 2005 but performed periodically with various collaborators until 2009. They made notable returns at the Rockfest de Montebello in 2013 and in 2015 before releasing their third studio album, Fil d'arrivée, in 2017. This eleven-track album includes songs such as “Grugiolle” and “Chaos”.
