Les Breastfeeders, a francophone rock n' roll band from Quebec, were formed in Montreal in 1999. The group initially gained traction with their debut demo in 2000 and notable performances at venues, notably at L'Escogriffe. They released their first album, Déjeuner sur l'herbe, in 2004 on Blow the Fuse Records, which included the award-winning song "Angle Mort" that won the SOCAN Award for Best Francophone Song of the Year. Their second album, Les Matins de grands soirs (2006), received international acclaim. The band toured extensively across North America and Europe, performing at festivals such as South by Southwest (SXSW) and the FrancoFolies de Montréal. In 2011, they released Dans La Gueule Des Jours. Les Breastfeeders celebrated their 10th anniversary with a concert in 2009 and performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
