MOWMOW LULU GYABAN is a Japanese three-piece rock band known for their eccentric style, energetic performances, and guitar-less setup. The band was officially formed in April 2005 by drummer and vocalist Gary Bitch (real name Yajima Takeshi), bassist Margarita (Maruyama Tomohide), and keyboardist/vocalist Yukka. Originally a five-member group, they transitioned into a trio after several lineup changes, including the departure of guitarists. They gained early attention through street gigs and indie releases like Love Letter (2005) and Psychedelic Lover (2008), before winning FM802’s “MUSIC CHALLENGE 2008” in 2009. That same year, they made their major debut with the album Noguchi, Kutsukawa de Bakushi. Their popularity grew with further albums such as BeVeci Calopueno (2011), and they became known for explosive live shows and theatrical stage presence. In 2011, they released their first DVD-single package, featuring the live film PINK and BLACK and the single "Good Bye Thank You". The band later received the Live Performance Award at the 4th CD Shop Awards in 2012. Although they paused live activities in 2014, they returned in 2015 and continued releasing albums until a break in 2020.
