Cyril Bucher, also known as Dezmond Dez, born in 1980 in Bern, Switzerland, is a Swiss dialect rapper. He began writing texts and producing rapsongs with Tommy Vercetti at the end of the 1990s, releasing their first mixtapes, Cheftape 1 (2003) and Cheftape 2 in 2004. Their breakthrough came when German rapper Kool Savas supported them through his label Optik Schweiz, leading to the successful release of the mixtape Wer hatz erfunden? in 2006. Dezmond Dez's solo career took off with the mixtape Haitian Voodoo in 2006. In 2013, he released his first proper album, Verlornigs Paradies, which peaked at number 16 on the Swiss Hitparade. The same year, he and Vercetti released Glanton Gang, reaching number 12 on the same chart.
