Zohaib Hassan, born on November 18, 1966, in Karachi, Pakistan, is a Pakistani singer, producer, and songwriter who began his career alongside his sister Nazia Hassan. Their first breakthrough came with the 1981 album Disco Deewane, which established the duo as pioneers of South‑Asian pop. In 1984, the duo released the album Young Tarang, followed by Camera in 1992 under EMI Pakistan. After Nazia Hassan died in 2000, he paused music to focus on family business before returning with Signature in 2017, a collaboration with EMI Pakistan and Sa Re Ga Ma, featuring the posthumous track "Always On My Mind". Throughout his career, he earned 12 gold, 4 platinum and 2 double‑platinum discs, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the United Nations Association of Pakistan, and was honored by Oxford University for his contributions to South‑Asian music.
