Flowers for Breakfast was a Belgian rock group from Antwerp, active between 1994 and 2001. The band formed in 1995 with members who had classical music training and were initially known for performing Prince cover songs. Their debut release was the EP Nervous in 1995, produced by Tony Platt. In 1996, they released their first full-length album, Baron Samedi Conducts the Onion Philharmonique, which included the singles "Onions", "One Man Show" and "Quicksand Valley". The group signed with Mercury/PolyGram Records that same year. Their subsequent albums were Ego and Homebound in 1998, featuring the singles "You Wish" and "A Shiny Future". Despite a hiatus from live performances between 1999 and 2001, Flowers for Breakfast reunited for a performance at the Hove Live festival in March 2001. The band announced their disbandment later that year.
