Blechschaden, a brass band ensemble from Germany, was founded in 1985 by Bob Ross. The group consisted of members from the Munich Philharmonic and became known for its diverse repertoire, which spans classical music, entertainment, rock, and traditional brass music. Their performances were also characterized by a humorous approach. Blechschaden released their debut self-titled album in 1989. Subsequent releases include Blechschaden in Blech in 2002 and Kulturvollzugsantalt in 2003. The ensemble gained significant recognition with the release of Up Frack Prämie in 2010. Throughout their career, Blechschaden has been awarded multiple Echo Klassik awards, including one for the album Brassomania in 1999 and another for Blechschaden in Blech in 2002. In 2009, they received the special prize from the Bavarian Culture Prize.
