Pascal Gallois, born in 1959 in Linselles near Lille, France, is a French bassoonist, conductor, and music teacher. He studied with Maurice Allard at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris. In 1981, Pascal Gallois joined the Ensemble Intercontemporain as a soloist under Pierre Boulez, premiering several contemporary works for bassoon, including "In Friendship" (1984) by Karlheinz Stockhausen and Sequenza XII (1995) by Luciano Berio. He has collaborated with notable composers such as György Kurtág and Olga Neuwirth, who wrote pieces specifically for him. Pascal Gallois taught at the Conservatoire de Paris from 1994 to 2000 and at the Haute École d'art de Zurich from 2001 to 2007. In 2002, he taught at the Darmstadt International Institute of Music.
