André Minvielle, born in 1957, in Pau, France, is a French singer and percussionist. He started his musical career with early experiments at Chez Jean-Régis in Gan and later joined the orchestra Pepe Nunca. In 1980, he enrolled in percussion and opera singing courses at the Conservatory of Music in Pau. Minvielle joined the Bernard Lubat company, participating in the festival d'Uzeste and collaborating with notable artists. His first solo album, ¡ Canto !, was released in 1998 and received critical acclaim. In 2004, he released the experimental album L'ABCD'erre de la vocalchimie. Minvielle's subsequent albums include La vie d'ici bas (2007), which garnered significant praise. He won the Victoire du Jazz for Vocal Artist of the Year in 2008 and the Académie du Jazz award in 2025.
