Mark Medlock is a German pop, soul, and dance singer who has been singing gospel music since he was a child. In 2007, he won the fourth season of the TV talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar. His debut album, *Mr. Lonely*, was released in 2007, followed by *Dreamcatcher* (2007), produced in collaboration with Dieter Bohlen, *Cloud Dancer* (2008), *Club Tropicana* (2009), *Rainbow’s End* (2010), and *My World* (2011). Mark Medlock’s most successful singles include “Now Or Never” (2007), “Summer Love” (2008), “Baby Blue” (2009), “Sweat (A La La La La Song)” (2010) featuring Mehrzad Marashi, and “Maria Maria” (2010). After his successful run immediately following his victory on Deutschland sucht den Superstar, things quieted down for the singer in the 2010s. With Im Nebel (2014) and Zwischenwelten (2017), the singer released further albums. However, Mark Medlock was unable to replicate the success of his earlier releases. It wasn’t until June 2026 that he made his comeback with the single “Back into the Sun”. The album of the same name followed in August of the same year. Reaching No. 6, Mark Medlock successfully returned to the Top 10 in Germany.
