The Skatoons, a ska-punk band from Hamburg, Germany, formed in 1999. The group consisted of a singer, two guitarists, a bassist, four wind players, a drummer, and a percussionist, primarily performing in German. After the dissolution of Pennerschickeria and ARD, the remaining members formed The Skatoons. In 2003, they released their debut studio album, Einmal Ska Und Zurück, via Black Butcher Records. They toured extensively with bands like No Respect and Normahl. Financial difficulties arose in 2005 due to a tour bus accident, after which the band adjusted its lineup and found a new rehearsal space. The band released two more albums: Am Arsch Die Räuber (2007) and High Noon Am Hansaplatz (2010). After over 16 years of activity, The Skatoons announced their first creative hiatus in March 2016 with a final concert at the Markthalle Hamburg.
