Behind the Scenes is a German rock group formed in Neuss in 1993 by Michael Roeder (vocals) and Fred Büntig (bass). They released their debut album Fragment through EuroMedia/Novatekk in 1998, which climbed to number 19 on the Deutschen Alternativen Charts (DAC). The band performed at the Zillo-Open-Air and the 3. Dark Convention in Zürich in 1999. In 2000, their second album Homeless was released by Bloodline, featuring the single "Human", which reached number 15 on the DAC. The US version of Homeless, featuring remixes by The Crüxshadows, was released by Dancing Ferret in 2001. Guitarist Scholli joined Behind the Scenes in 2003. Their third album Pure was released in 2006 through In-D-Records. They performed with And One, Garden of Delight, and The Crüxshadows in 2007. The group released a re-issue of their first album, Fragment(ed), in 2008.
