The Ancient Gallery was a German rock band formed in 1992 in Eppendorf. The group consisted of Robin and Andy "Enni" W., Friedrich M., Convex, and Stefan Baier. They initially covered songs from various music genres before releasing their demo tapes, Origin and Fortune Teller. Their breakthrough came with the EP Her Sister in 1997, featuring their first German-language tracks. The band's debut album, Deinstallation, was released in 2001 after Stefan Baier’s departure, followed by Kopfdelay (2002), which included a collaboration with B. Broiler of the Inchtabokatables. Following the album's release, the band embarked on extensive tours across Europe, playing in Prague, Paris, Budapest, Tallinn, and Warsaw. Their subsequent releases include the album Alles Ist Nichts (2004) and the EP Was Wir Wollen (2004). The Ancient Gallery disbanded in 2006.
