Chi-Ali Griffith, better known by his stage name Chi-Ali, born on May 27, 1976, in The Bronx, New York City, was an American rapper. He began his music career as a member of the hip-hop collective Native Tongues and made his first appearance on Black Sheep's debut album A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing with the posse cut "Pass the 40". Chi-Ali released his debut single "Age Ain't Nothing But a #" in 1992, which reached number 6 on the Hot Rap Singles chart. His debut album, The Fabulous Chi-Ali, followed shortly after and included the singles "Roadrunner" and "Funky Lemonade". In the late 1990s, he appeared on Dres's solo album Sure Shot Redemption and collaborated with Jadakiss on a song entitled "G-Check". A documentary chronicling his life titled The Fabulous Chi Ali was released in 2019.
