Accompanied by guitar, QYO pulls from sounds of Pop Rock and Alternative Rock, and her signature smooth vocals has earned her a large fan following.
Her early days of busking with friends simply for the love of music quickly turned to popular gigs and events in various venues across Singapore, including Pink Dot 2020.
QYO’s music influences include SIA, Ryan Tedder and Dan Reynolds. She especially draws inspiration from how music careers can start and flourish at no matter what age – as she herself started only at 25 year old, with no background, experience or exposure prior, and with no support for her musical journey.
A private person by nature, creating music is her outlet to express her thoughts and feelings, and is both a source of comfort and solace. While she did not have any musical mentors, she has people believing ceaselessly in her art and talent. This has spurred her to aspire high in developing her music and reaching for her musical ambitions.
